Write down three things first
- Your airport journey. Note the actual service you intend to use, including whether it is an express service.
- Your daily journeys. Estimate the trips between your hotel and the places you have grouped for that day.
- Travel beyond the covered area. A day trip outside central Seoul can change which option makes sense.
What the Climate Card short-term pass offers
Seoul’s official transport page currently lists 1-, 2-, 3-, 5- and 7-day short-term passes. The one-day pass is KRW 5,000; a physical card is purchased separately for KRW 3,000. These are current official figures checked on 27 September 2026, not dollar conversions from the older book.
Short-term validity starts on the day the card is charged. A one-day pass lasts until the final service on that day; it is not described as a rolling 24-hour ticket. Check the listed service area and exclusions before buying.
The airport detail is easy to miss
The official Climate Card page says you cannot board at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 with the card. Do not assume an airport journey is included simply because a rail service appears in the wider network.

Compare the full cost
For each candidate pass, compare its price, any card purchase cost, the trips covered and the journeys you would pay for separately. Staying three days by itself does not prove that a three-day unlimited pass is your best option.
Use the video as the introduction
The short mentions the Climate Card, T-money Mpass and Discover Seoul Pass. This guide verifies the Climate Card details above only. Check the other products with their official providers before purchasing; this page does not claim to be a complete, current comparison of all three.
The book gives you the basic concepts. This written guide is where changing fares and coverage need to be checked and updated over time.
